Syd TV's summer piece. Timed to perfection pre Glastonbury Festival 2008. This street graffiti stencil was executed in Glastonbury town days before the festival. It got a lot of coverage in the press... hitting the Western Daily, The Mirror, The Guardian, Metro, ITV News and finally BBBC Breakfast on the Friday morning before the festival. It takes the piss out of Jay Z's controversial headline booking by the festival promoter Michael Eavis. The artist is not against change but Mr Eavis deserved some rib tickling after a string of comments he made that have aliented Glastonbury stalwarts. I bet Coldplay headline next year... proof that Jay Z was a expensive flop.
The canvas itself is HUGE and is made using the same set of stencils and spray paints used for the Glastonbury town piece. Its 150cm tall... and will be limited to no more than 20 completely original canvases. Probably less as the stencils ware out.
Heres a short video post festival...
