Welcome to 'The Stencil Factory' a new off shoot for the talented group of artists and designers that work in the cooperatiive Art By People. In the section you will find a wide range of original and individually unique spray painted designs onto canvas. Each canvas is uniquely created using a complex method printing the background, cutting stencils, overlaying spray paint and then adding the finishing paint blob touches. This is all pretty unusual in the world of buying stencil art on line, most art sellers will sell a print of stencil art NOT the actual stencil - this is what makes us proud with our art
The art of stencilism is heavily influenced by the graffti and street art scene, taken to new heights by the likes of Banksy and Nick Walker with often political and satirical messages in the urban areas of Britain. Lots of out stencils are used on the street also, we will add images of the art in an urban setting as we get more adventurous.
Each Art By People stencil will last for about 5 canvases so what you see is very very unique. Some designs are total one offs, depending on the mood of the artist on the day. The final canvas is then branded with a sprayed on Art By People logo on the side wall to give that contemporary cool finish.
