This new work from Martin Shelley has proved an instant hit. The buttercup field was seen on a sketching trip to Wiltshire last year. Martin created the picture to express the freshness of a meadow covered in buttercups. The first person who saw the picture exclaimed 'It's that happy feeling' and indeed the loose brushstrokes and bright colour do create a picture full of joy.
