Choosing a stretched Canvas Wall Art Print
Choosing a stretched canvas art print for your home is always an exciting thing to do. You know it is going to be something you are will enjoy for a long time. At the same time a well chosen picture can really make a room from somewhere you like being into a place with a focus and atmosphere. We always say often the first canvas print that catches your eye is the one for you. It had something that was of instant appeal that you responded to immediately. However there are other important considerations.
Look at the colours in your furnishings and decoration. The canvas art picture should fit in with existing colour but doesn't have to be an exact match. However having some colours that echo you decoration scheme do make your picture look at home in its new setting of your home.
The theme of the picture. At Art by People we have a range of artists with differnet interests creating a wide variety of canvas art pictures for you. Look at our different catagories and search for a picture that fits the theme you personally enjoy. We also have a variety of styles in our canvas prints form cutting edge retro, modern digital, throught to natural forms and photographs.
Size is very important. Your canvas picture needs to fit in with the proportion of your room. All of our pictures include exact details of the size of each canvas print.
Hanging your Canvas Wall Art Print
Firstly, make sure you hang your canvas art in full view!
Always ensure that you have a central wall point for the canvas so that you can stand back and fully appreciate it. Ensure that your art has a good 'viewing area'.
Avoid things like hanging large canvas wall prints in narrow corridors, as you won't be able to stand far back enough to take in the full image properly.
As a general rule, add the height and width of a print together, then ensure that you can stand at least that distance back from the wall on which you want to hang your print. For example if you have a large print, say 100cm by 100cm, then ideally you would need to be able to stand back at least 200cm to view it properly. However a smaller print, say one from our 50cm x 50cm range, is much more suited to a narrow hallway, corridor or bathroom.
